This project involved managing a performance-focused Google Ads campaign for BN Dulay Trux, a North American logistics and trucking company. The main objective was to generate high-quality phone call leads through targeted Search and Performance Max (PMax) campaigns.
We began with a structured launch, allowing Google’s system to optimize early performance. Over the following weeks, I implemented key changes including ad copy updates, extension improvements, and search term cleanup using negative keywords. These optimizations led to a steady rise in results—growing from 1 lead in the first week to 15+ phone calls per week. The campaign proved successful in delivering consistent, conversion-focused traffic and qualified leads.
The cost of Google Ads services can vary depending on factors like the scope of work, the competitiveness of the trucking and logistics industry, and the expertise of the agency. With no active historical campaigns to build on, we’re facing high competition for trucking-related keywords. Initially, there may be irrelevant traffic due to broad keyword matches. Our primary challenge is generating immediate leads (calls) within a short time frame, making it crucial to develop a customized strategy that aligns with these objectives.
Starting with just one conversion in the initial week, the campaign steadily improved through ongoing optimizations and strategic enhancements, including launching a Performance Max campaign. This led to a significant increase in high-quality phone calls, confirming the effectiveness and success of the campaign.
